What can I do

This morning (Saturday, Oct. 13th) we received the following e-mail from Sailor (the Shelton's dog) to jerrod@jerrodshelton.com . . .

Since you all have been out of town...I have been sooo busy this is the first time I've had a chance to write you.

I heard that your surgery went just great...and I can't wait for you and everyone else to get back home.
It's a BIG responsibility taking care of everything around here by myself, but I'm up to the task. I have to check the perimeter of the yard a dozen times a day just to keep those pesky squirrels out of here. They drive me crazy...you no sooner get one chased off then here comes another one. It's a full time job you know just doing that. And then there's the birds....now THERE'S a challenge for you....One thing about it, all of this running around does give me plenty of exercise and I'm in great shape.
I've been going over and visiting with Bud next door. He's a lot of fun...but sort of immature if you know what I mean!
He chases squirrels too, but between you and me I do a better job than he does. I try and try to teach him the right way to do things...but I'm beginning to think that he is unteachable. He's such a pup he still has to wear a bark collar...if you get my drift.
I was busy one afternoon doing the "photo shoot"....I saw my pictures and I looked awfully good if I do say so myself.....don't mean to brag, but honestly I thought I looked " show dog" in them.
I also saw the picture of you with those other two dogs in bed with you. What's up with that? They looked like city slickers to me...
Well, I better close and get on with my work for the day. Just wanted to let you know that I have everything around here in TOTAL control.
You take care of yourself, and I'll take care of the home front. Give everyone a big hug for me.
I love you,
Sailor

Thanks to Robert Spain, the Shelton's next door neighbor, for taking care of Sailor and sending this e-mail on her behalf.
