Subject: Brief Update on Jerrod

Jerrod was awake most of the afternoon and enjoyed goofing around with his iPhone and his new Jawbone (bluetooth). He ate 3 good meals today and feels pretty well. His tummy is still sore from the incision that was required for the shunt. It makes it difficult to walk, but we are hoping that it will be better in the morning and we can do a little more walking. We are looking forward to a good night's sleep. The swelling on the back of his head went down very quickly after the shunt was in place so it is apparently working like it is supposed to.
Prayer requests remain the same with thankfulness at the top of the list.
As of today, Tuesday is our target date for getting into the van and heading for Lubbock. But, we have learned we can't make our plans too definite. We will keep you posted.

Here's a fun note, Jerrod's nurse tonight is named Happiness. Isn't that awesome? I think I'll send Russ a photo of Happiness for the website.

And by the way, Carla and Jerrod were watching "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?" tonight and I thought of a new game show concept that I think might have some possibilities...
" Are You Smarter Than a Cheese Grater? "
We need to get to work on a logo...
