Update from 10/31/07 9:00pm

Jerry sent the following update:

"We are now in our room and they are going to try to move us into a larger room so we can both stay here. So our room may be changing again. Bless his heart, he has sure been through the ringer. He is actually in more pain this time than he was from the first one. He has a morphine pump to help control the pain. He has the incision in his skull, one in his chest and one in the stomach. They shaved one whole side of his head. It was a little bigger deal than what I thought. I just feel so sorry for him. But he is doing great... he is asleep most of the time right now.
I'll keep you posted."

Jerry sent the following text update:

"He is in recovery and will be moving to room 456."

Jerrod had the surgery to put in the permanent Shunt at the Richardson Regional Medical Center today.  The surgery went well.  Jerrod will have to stay in that hospital until at least Saturday.  He will be in ICU today, but should move to a "regular" room in the next day or two.

"Dr. Morgan just came in and said everything went well."

Jerrod had the surgery to put in the permanent Shunt at the Richardson Regional Medical Center today.  Jerrod will have to stay in that hospital until at least Saturday.  He will be in ICU today, but should move to a "regular" room in the next day or two.

"We are in the surgery holding area waiting for an xray and blook work.  Surgery is at 1 pm.  We will let you know more as we know more."

"Had a great day yesterday.  Headed 2 Richardson Regional Medical Center 4 a few days.  Jerrod is doing great."
