Update from 10/17/07 9:25pm

Jerrod has been released from CCU.  He has been moved to the 6th floor, room # 604.  Check out those groovy gloves (thanks to Krista) - it was cold in his room - you can probably see them throughout recent photos . . .

Jerrod is doing so much better than expected (Praise God), but we still have prayer requests; please pray the tumor is benign (should have the results by Friday), for his hearing (he still hears the loud grinding noise), his speech (it is probably tied to hearing - it was better today), and his vision (it is better, but he still doesn't have good peripheral vision).

Jerrod has been released from CCU.  They are in the process of moving him now.  He will be moved to the 6th floor, but we do not have a room number yet.  Once we get a room number, we will post it.

Jerrod is still in CCU at this time, but they hope he will move to the "regular" floor later today.

Neil was able to see them earlier today, he sent me a short note about his visit, I wanted to share a part of it with you:

"as I was thinking about it on the way back from the hospital, it struck me how much Jerry, Carla and the whole family talk so much about how God is moving through all this and how God is so good. There doesn’t seem to be a bit of “why us?” in this family. It’s amazing to see God work this out with them – and their friends!"

Update from 10/17/07 10:45am

There have not been any major updates yet today.  Jerrod had a good morning - speech is clearer this morning, but no noticeable improvements on vision or hearing.  Jerrod has walked (with a walker) multiple times now (short distances).

We did add a few pages to "Notes & Stuff", and some links last night.  We also added a map to show where people are visiting the site from early this morning (it only shows visitors from yesterday).

We will try to have an update around lunch, and another one around 5:00pm today - unless there is breaking news.
